Full name Frederick Eric Batten born Scucoates Hull on the 13 June 1914.

Deid 3 September 1993 in Leeds.

He had a brother Bob who played for Leeds  Played 50 matches from 1945.

His cousin was Stanley Smith who played for Great Britain in 1932-36.

In 1930 he was transferred from Eakefield to Leeds for £1075.

Eric played from 1933 to 1954
