The profiles Charlie Elliott (Newtown, City and Southern Div) and Cyril Elliott (Combined Southern) are for the same person. These two sources (1 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article230286912), 2 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-673620496)) confirm that his name was Cyril Elliott, but he was otherwise invariably known as Snowy Elliott. (In fact, I think these are the only two sources which use 'Cyril' instead of simply 'Snowy')
This article (3 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article246700250)), from when he joined Newtown in 1935, states he had played for Country Firsts the year prior. So the following games should be attributed to Snowy instead of Canterbury's Sid Elliott: City vs Country (28 May 1934) (http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matches/22188) and City vs Country (15 Sep 1934) (http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matches/22189).
The following game is probably also Snowy instead of Sid: Southern Districts vs Queensland (17 May 1936) (http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matches/38426). In checking the teamlists, you find that Snowy's first initial is given variously as C., S., E., and even a few times as M., throughout his career. But he is covered well enough by country newspapers to confirm his movements and his major rep selections despite this oddity.
Snowy is confirmed (4 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article237778901)) to have played for Southern Districts vs England (3 Jun 1936) (http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matches/31429), so I think it is highly likely he also played in the game against Queensland, which was said to have been considered when selecting the side to play England (5 (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article249553396)).
Unfortunately, I am yet to identify who he actually was (which would hopefully explain the inconsistent initials). I couldn't find anyone in electoral rolls who fit the description of playing from the mid-1920s to early 50s for Temora, Cowra, Leeton, and Narrandera, with short stints at Baradine, Newtown, Wamoon, Nyngan, and Aberdeen along the way (possibly among others).
Thanks Max but I'm just not sure about the Southern Districts game v Qld 17 May 1936 the newspapers all say Elliott in the centre is from Goulburn the Wests Archive bio for Sid Elliott details that he played in Goulburn in 1936. For the Southern Districts v England game newspapers say Elliott at 5/8 is from Leeton and played for Newtown in 1936.
So I believe for 1936 Sid Elliott played against Qld & Snowy Elliott played against England.
For the rest I agree it is all Snowy Elliott I will update RLP to show.
Thanks for the info Greg! For the game against Queensland, The Sun states S Elliott of Goulburn (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article231309031) was selected, whereas the Yass Tribune says E Elliott of Goulburn (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article249553396).
This is the same inconsistency that happened when Snowy was selected in rep teams in May 1934: S Elliott of Leeton (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article249515474) per Yass Tribune, and E Elliott of Leeton (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article246438307) per Daily Telegraph, which is what made me think it was Snowy.
Wests Archives have done a great job of detailing Sid Elliott's playing history so no objections from me.
Does the site intend to add country league stats eventually? If not, or perhaps in the meantime, is it possible to assign a player to a country club season by season to keep track of player movements outside of Sydney? The Country rep teamlists would then include which club each player was selected from in the same way Sydney clubs are listed on rep games.
That would be the plan but I'll bring it up with
@AndrewRLP.
Cyril "Snowy" Edwards has now been updated in RLP and should now be correct as per the above.

Ideally I'd love to have CRL games on the site and have already started reaching out to get basic info such as History and Fate of each group and all the competing sides and the years they played, as well as their fates as well.
We need that info before we can go any further with results etc, but that info alone would be more than what is available anywhere.
