You have listed Graeme Hughes as being a replacement in this game. According to the Sun 28-3-1978, tackle counts, it says that Garry Hughes was the replacement, not Graeme.
Thanks Ted it's always confusing with Garry & Graeme the Daily Mirror only says G Hughes but Big League Annual says Graeme played 22 of 23 games & Garry 7 and Graeme definitely missed rd 20 so he should have played all other games to have played 22 but if the Sun says Garry came off the bench in rd 1 then one of the publications is wrong.
Just saw your other post about the Canterbury database page so just checked there and it say Graeme was the replacement in Rd 1 1978.
So I'm happy to stay with Graeme in rd 1 as it fits with season tallies in Big League and matches the Canterbury site unless you have some reason to think the Canterbury page is wrong.
I think it's probably Graeme & The Sun got them mixed up. The CB Annual report has the same figures as Big League.
Future note to parents whose kids are going to play sport - please don't give them first names starting with the same letter!
