There is a number 17 playing for St.George seen at 0.53, 1.05, 1.09. & a 15 at 1.25, neither are Graeme Wynn, the reserve used. At 1.20, it looks like Wynn playing in a jersey ending in 8.

At 1.21 there is a 21 playing for Easts

Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, but a Dragons or Roosters supporter may be able to help.

I think number 17 for St.George is Craig Madsen RLP had the team wrong which I have now fixed Pat Jarvis was injured and left the field early in the 1st half and was replaced by Madsen so I imagine Madsen is in #17 & Wynn in #18.

Also to regards to this Round 21 game between St George and Eastern Suburbs in 1983.
-Phillip Williams was not listed in the tackle count for St George for this game. In the Sun on Monday, July 25, 1983.
-However Williams was listed in the St George tackle count for this game in the Daily Mirror from Monday, July 25, 1983.
-Also one you will need to check with Alan Katzman.
-Bruce Longbottom was not listed in the tackle count for this game. In the Sun from Monday, July 25, 1983.
-However Longbottom was listed in the tackle count for this game in the Daily Mirror from Monday, July 25, 1983.
-I do notice how Longbottom has not been allocated a playing number by the Eastern Suburbs/Sydney Roosters.
-Also in the last edition of the Encyclopedia of Rugby League Players which came out in 2007. I notice Longbottom is not listed in that as having played for Eastern Suburbs as well.

Bruce Longbottom gave an interview at DansNRL were he states that he replaced Ron Gibbs in this game and it was his only 1st grade game for Easts.

"How was it playing for Eastern Suburbs Roosters in 1983?

I was playing in a coaching academy in 1981 and I came second out of the group.

I joined the Roosters because I had a mate going there.  I played the whole season in Reserve Grade.  I managed a stint in First Grade when Ron Gibbs broke his leg and I came on as a replacement.  After that I played the rest of the season in Reserve or Third Grade.

The First Grade game was a real buzz, I was marking Michael O'Connor.[/i]"

Alan at the Roosters has agreed he played apparently the Roosters didn't produce and Annual Report in 1983 and they used The Sun tackle counts to compile the player list he will work on getting him a heritage number.
