Also just a note from this game between North Sydney and Balmain at North Sydney Oval on August 21, 1971.
-This game a went a couple of minutes past when fulltime should have been called. Timekeepers explained after the game. That the electrical hooter had broken. Their was also no hand hooter available. Balmain timekeeper Bill Craig left the timekeeper's box. Pushed his way through the crowd. Then jumped the fence. To inform a touch judge that the game was over. The touch judge then ran onto the field to let referee Keith Holman know. Who then immediately called fulltime.
