I can't find any confirmation (by way of the team list in Rugby League News or in the post match SMH report), but in 1970 Laurie Fagan was the Penrith captain when Bob Boland was not available for first grade selection. I have noted this as an outstanding matter for my website and will check other resources to hopefully confirm this.
