Also just a note from the game between Canterbury and North Sydney at Belmore Sports Ground on March 29, 1970.
-There was an attempted walk-off by North Sydney prior to Halftime of this game. After Winger and Captain Ken Irvine and Lock John McDonell were Sent Off.
-For his part in this incident. Ken Irvine was cited to appear before the New South Wales Rugby League over the incident. In which Irvine was then Suspended for 2 matches.
-North Sydney Centre Denis Cubis was also cited to appear before the New South Wales Rugby League over the incident. In which he was exonerated.
-Irvine was also Suspended for 1 match. After being Sent Off for Indecent Language. A Suspension which he served prior to appearing before the New South Wales Rugby League over the Attempted Walk-Off.
-The other player Sent Off in that game John McDonell. Was Suspended for 2 Matches for Kicking.
