Hi RLeagueFan,

Yes the team that played the English was in reality a NSW 2nd team however it was billed & promoted as NSW not a 2nd team, it was only referred to as a 2nd team in newspaper reviews of the game after the big defeat all game previews and ads(see attachment from Evening News Fri 5 Aug) state it as NSW hence why RLP shows as NSW not a 2nd's team.

I have added a note to the match in RLP clarifying this.

So the record will remain that the same representative team played two games on the same day in two different states.

That doesn't seem right.

Certainly a bit unusual but not unprecedented for example England sent 2 cricket touring teams out the same time on 2 occasions in 1891/92 to Australia & South Africa both teams played official tests also in 1929/30 2 English teams toured New Zealand & West Indies and each team played test matches at the same time the 1st & 3rd v WI were played at the same time as 1st & 4th against NZ each of these games are classified as official tests.

If in these 2 games the teams are both promoted and billed as NSW which they certainly appear to be then surely the record should show that. Also the players were selected to represent NSW and their record should show that they represented NSW.

no Rugby League precedent?

For the record I disagree with that if that is the decision. You can't have the same team being represented by different actual teams on the same day in two different locations.
