Born in Woolwich on the 14 April 1910 but brought up in Cumberland.

10 prop forward who played 332 matches and scoring 25 tries and 28 goals.

He played from 17 March 1928 till 12 January 1946.

Had five Cumberland caps.

Coached the juniors at Leeds and became Catering Manager.


He died on the 4 August 1984.ACumbrian true,yet a Headingley man through and through.
