Born 22 October 1944 in New Zealand and deid 22 October 2019 Auckland New Zealand,

Father of Brian  McClennan , Leeds ,New Zealand Warrior and New Zealand coach.

He took over as coach of St.Helens in February 1990.Left I. December 1993.

Coached Tonga in 1995 World Cup.
