Looking at birthdays, I came across R.Williams & thought I would see if I could find his first name. Then I found it was already there:

However, when you look at team lists or you search "Ron Williams" the above Ron Williams doesn't come up. Just some housekeeping. Sorry if I am being too picky

Thanks Ted it could mean Canterbury in NZ but I'll need to look deeper at it to see why it is showing that.

There seems to be some anomaly regarding this player. According to his stats, he played all his games for Redcliffe:

but when you list the birthdays under August, it lists that he played for Canterbury:

I just noticed the two Jordan Martins have been merged back into one profile

Paul Martin's profile says his son is "(player ID 51557 not found)" - so the remerge has created a glitch

There doesn't seem to be many mentions of Connell in newspapers (although it's a bit hard to search considering Jack McConnell was in the same team). Tony has identified this player as John Augustine Connell, who looks like a decent candidate to me as well.

- Born: 23 May 1914 in Marrickville, NSW
- Died: 15 December 1992

John's death notice indicates that he was known as "Jack". I'd agree that "Billy" is just an error!
