- K Burton's name was Keith. Born 19 June 1922 in Glebe NSW, died 25 September 2012. Full name Keith John Burton.
- H Wasson's name was Harry. Born 19 December 1915 in Annandale NSW. Full name Henry David Wasson
- Cecil Foster, DOB should be 2 August 1920 (instead of 20th)
- Charlie York, DOB should be 14 May 1902 (instead of March)
- Bob Nielsen, full name Robert Stanley McFarlane Nielsen
- Reg Snowball, full name  Reginald George Snowball
- Greg Stokes, full name Thomas Gregory Stokes
- Abe Hall, born in Young NSW
- Stan Ponchard, born in Balmain NSW
- Des Ponchard, born in Cooma NSW
- Sid Ryan, born in Balmain NSW
- I think the Dubbo 1936 player was probably Eric Bennett (NSW, Wests) instead of Edward Bennett (Balmain 1943)
- Joe Regent's DOB has come from Wikipedia, so it's not reliable. As far as I can tell, his birth was possibly unregistered (but I'll keep looking to confirm).
- Fred Woolley's DOB should be 5 March 1880 (instead of 7 May 1879 - not sure where this completely different date has come from). His death date should be 17 January 1955 (instead of the 18th). I've discussed this one with Tony and will be updated in his spreadsheets.

Les Perry wears number 6 not 14.

I have footage of both teams running onto the field.

Thanks Greg.

Originally I spoke with Tony.

Gunton didn't play as I sent Wests Archives the programme with Gunton penned in for the game against Manly in R1.

My final thoughts are 18 looks like Kelly physically, the question is why is he wearing No.18?

Could it be his jersey was torn during the game?

Another option is Hayes started and Kelly came on to replace him. However this hasn't been reported in newspaper reports so unlikely.

Personally I don't believe Hayes played as I can't see anyone who looks like him.

I've sent you an email and will send footage.

Thanks it would be good to see for myself I have also been corresponding with Tony at the Archive he told me you had made contact he has the same footage and says he thinks #18 is Noel Kelly and that John Hayes didn't play(or at least is not shown in the video) so are you still certain #18 is Hayes and you don't agree with Tony?

As I don't have the footage I have can't offer an opinion if you can email the footage to gfiveash@bigpond.com would be great.

In respect to Gunton we have agreed he didn't play this game and that Dick Picket was fullback and John Armstrong started in the centre so they will update their game details soon just waiting some other members of the archive to agree who #18 is.

Feedback/Suggestions / Re: Pat Smith personal details
Last post by GregRLP - 05 February, 2025, 09:44:05 PM
The article says Tanner Stowers-Smith is Pat Smith's great-grandson and that Jamayne Isaako his Stowers-Smith's cousin not that Jamayne Isaako is also Pat Smith's great-grandson, they may be cousins but on another side of the family.

I have updated the details otherwise.

Norths John Sullivan wore no.10 not 36

Dick Harris the replacement hooker for Norths wore no.52

For Canterbury Ray Strudwick wore 45.

These all can be seen in clip I have of game. Sullivan being a tryscorer.

Gunton didn't appear in any grade again until Rounds 20,21 and 22.

The previous week he had struggled against Newtown in windy conditions.
