I have 8mins of footage of this game.

I can confirm Greg Bandiera started the game in no.10 however during a mass brawl in the first half after Bandiera flattened Brian Lockwood, Bandiera's jersey was completely torn on the back, hence the change to number 35. It is also noted on the scoreboard along with Johnny Peard's coming on in 44.

Ken Jones wore 13. Unfortunately I could see no footage of Freier.

You can see Bandiera's jersey torn in this photo.

I've just watched the full version of this test.

The goalkicking stats were -

Mal Meninga 7 from 11

Lee Crooks 2 from 2

and George Fairbairn 0 from 1 he took the conversion attempt for the British try as Crooks had been sent off.

Yes, I think F Gill and N Gill were his brothers Frank (1) and Neil (2, 3), so their surname should be Gil with one 'L' as well.

Alan's death date is still showing to me as 4 April 2025, which was when it was announced by the QRL. The funeral livestream showed his death was quite a bit earlier, on 19 March 2025.

I have update Alan Gil in the FNQ teams and added his DOB, any idea if the N Gill in the 1966/67 FNQ team is a relation and should be also spelt Gil with the one L?

Seems compelling evidence, I have updated the FNQ v GB to include Ted at 5/8.

Also in relation to Alan Gil, a livestream of his funeral confirms he was born on 16 August 1938 in Mourilyan (near Innisfail), Qld, and his death date was 19 March 2025. His full name was Alan Michael Gil
