All updated, I have adjusted the round 17 game from 1926 to now show Reg Snowball as the centre and Tom Kennedy on the wing.

Last post by Paul Carter - 04 January, 2025, 08:03:27 PM
I just thought I would let you know. In the game between Newcastle and Sydney City at the Newcastle International Sports Centre on August 29, 1999.
-That Sydney City Lead 12-10 at Halftime.
-Sorry to point this out. I notice that you have Newcastle Winning 5 Scrums in that game.
-Newcastle actually Won 8 Scrums in that game. Not 5.
-Also for Newcastle. you have Owen Craigie Wearing No. 1. Steve Simpson Wearing No. 16. Troy Fletcher Wearing No. 17.
-While for Sydney City. You have Graham Appo Wearing No. 1.
-Craigie Wore No. 17. When he played Fulback for Newcastle in that game.
-Simpson Wore No. 19. Fletcher Wore No. 20. When they both came off the Bench for Newcastle in that game.
-Appo Wore No. 18. When he played Fulback for Sydney City in that game as well.

This is not unusual for a game at this time 20 to 40 penalties and 20 to 40 scrums you'll find most of the penalties would be for scrum infringements. Typically you would have around 20 penalties and around 30 scrums per game.

Feedback/Suggestions / Team/clubs name listed
Last post by RLeagueFan - 04 January, 2025, 04:37:13 PM
Hi guys,

I've noticed that the Cronulla Sharks NRLW team is listed on the website as "Cronulla Sharks (W)".

All other Cronulla Sharks teams are listed as "Cronulla Sutherland Sharks", is there any reason for this?

I also noticed for hyphens aren't used for Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Was this a conscious decision?

21-19? Geez, was there outraged that the referee "ruined" the game?

Feedback/Suggestions / NSWRL reserves question/clarif...
Last post by RLeagueFan - 04 January, 2025, 02:34:49 PM
Hi guys,

Like I said in a previous topic. Love the works that's been done on the NSW/QLD cups and their historical competitions connected to it.

I just wondering if I could get clarification on why some clubs are named as reserves and others aren't?

I can see clubs like Blacktown Worker Sea Eagles & Wyong Roos aren't given the "(R)", however clubs like Enfield, Banksia, Belmore etc have been listed as reserves with "(R)". I was wondering why is this the case?

I guess the thing that has me asking this question is who is "Enfield (R)" a reserve team for as they never had a first grade team to feed into?

Any clarification would be must appreciated.
